Swinsian inserts wrong album art2/5/2024 ![]() See Grouping tracks into albums for a general discussion on the topic of split albums. For consistency I will generally re-embed the artwork for an album in all tracks after I've imported it to the library after fixing any grouping issues. In such cases one grouping might be assigned art but another not. (For playback, I use a script to copy a selection of tracks in Swinsian to the queue in HQ Player.) Question: Have any Swinsian users figured out how to locate newly imported track. One would expect all tracks from the same album to be treated equally, but iTunes doesn't always manage this and can hold an album internally in two or more groupings. When you click Open, the new album cover will appear. Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on or on if its too long. Click the Browse button next to 'Choose new album art / picture' to select the album cover you downloaded from the web. Having fetched the track details, songs names, artist, and album title, it may then use a separate mechanism to match this album in the iTunes Store catalog so it can fetch artwork. Re: VLC displaying wrong album art - revisited. This is used to recognize the CD in the Gracenotes CDDB database. ![]() It truly is the only Mac alternative to my heavily modified Winamp setup. I have tried all 23 music players suggested to me and none of them compare to Swinsian). All the iTunes normally sees is the pattern of track lengths. Swinsian dev - if you're reading this, please, for the love of humanity, don't let Swinsian die or rot away. An audio CD doesn't contain any artwork, or indeed much in the way of metadata at all.
